About Shawn Bone
Shawn Bone is Senior Director for Public Policy at Verizon, having joined the company in the fall of 2021. In that role, he leads the team that helps develop Verizon’s federal policy positions on a wide range of issues facing the company and advocates on behalf of the company with policymakers and stakeholders. This work includes coordinating spectrum policy positions for the company and interfacing with key federal officials on spectrum matters. Prior to joining Verizon, Bone spent almost a decade as Democratic Counsel for Telecommunications and Technology Policy on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. He began his career in tech and telecom policy at Wiley Rein, a DC-based law firm, and has served as an Adjunct Professor teaching telecom law and policy at the Washington & Lee University School of Law.
