Abstract
This study presents a theoretical tool for modeling antenna arrays as (N+1)-port networks in network analysis. N ports correspond to individual antenna elements, while an additional port represents the incident wave. Based on the Thevenin equivalent circuit of an antenna, then converting this into a two-port model, and extending the representation into arrays, enabling S-parameter derivation. Mutual coupling effects are incorporated via simulations in Ansys HFSS. The resulting S-parameters are exported as an SNP file for integration into tools like HFSS and Keysight ADS. This approach facilitates accurate noise modeling of noise contributions from the array in receiver systems.
