Abstract
The SpectrumX Summer School on Wireless and a Hackathon for Undergrads is a 4-day in-person program that promotes early research and education on topics related to wireless networking and the use of the radio spectrum. The school targets students with no prior experience in wireless or spectrum-related topics, and as such, is applicable to students from a variety of STEM disciplines. It provides a balanced mix of lectures and hands-on labs curated by the organizers and delivered by academic, government and industrial SpectrumX partners. The school culminates with a hackathon, in which students learn to measure and analyze the spectrum in a fun scavenger hunt. This poster will report on the 2025 edition of the school, which engaged 55 students across three SpectrumX partner institutions. Students from Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics/Astronomy, and Mechanical Engineering were among those attending.
