Al Feinberg spent much of his 23-year NASA career “translating” complex scientific, engineering and physical concepts for the public. He’s also taught and trained NASA engineers, scientists and senior leaders to be better communicators. Feinberg has served NASA in numerous critical communications roles, including NASA spokesperson following the loss of seven astronauts aboard Space Shuttle Columbia in 2003; NASA-TV Senior Producer, where he was de facto “Voice of NASA” and spearheaded compelling public and media engagement initiatives featuring Neil Armstrong, John Glenn, Walter Cronkite and other historic figures; and creator of NASA’s MISSION: All Systems GO!, a suite of free multimedia products that help medical professionals calm and guide young patients through a challenging and lengthy series of cancer treatment sessions. Before joining NASA, Feinberg spent 20 years in TV news as a multi award-winning, on-air storyteller. His work appeared on CNN, and CBS, ABC and Fox news outlets throughout the country, and Feinberg’s stories were regular features on ABC’s nationally-broadcast World News Now.
